Mountain Bike in the Moonlight
We went out to McDowell Mountain Regional Park last night 06/14/08 for the monthly Mountain Bike in the Moonlight ride. Organized by Maricopa County Parks and Recreation, the ride took place on the 15.4 mile Pemberton Trail. The turnout was amazing! 88 mountain bikers showed up on a day when the temperature reached 110. It proves that there are still hardcore mountain bikers out there.
The ride starts at 7:30 and everyone needs to be off the trail by 9:30. It is not a guided ride. You can start whenever you want, between 7:30 and 8:30 pm. It was a whole different experience riding Pemberton at night. I can’t wait until next month!

I get numerous emails from people looking for group mountain bike rides. So, here you go. Join us for weekly group mountain bike rides. Everybody is welcome. All riders need helmets and lights designed for night biking. The location changes, so check back each week for the location of that week's group ride. If you have questions or if you want to let us know you are coming contact us. Also, I will be posting weekend group mountain bike rides. So, check back for those each week too.
08/20/08: 7:30pm at Trail 100 (Phoenix Mountain Preserve - Meet at Tatum and Shea behind Fry's Marketplace.
08/23/08: 7:30pm - 9:30 at Mountain Bike in the Moonlight - McDowell Mountain Regional Park.
08/28/08: 7:30pm at Desert Classic (South Mountain) - Meet at the Pima Canyon parking lot ramadas (48th st. and Guadalupe).
